The initiative aims to celebrate seniors, create spaces for enjoyment and participation, and introduce them to new places within the municipality.
The program will kick off on Tuesday, September 29, with a visit and tasting at the Chipiona Moscatel Museum, an activity focused on the local wine culture and tradition.
On Wednesday, September 30, the City Council's Plenary Hall will host a moving tribute to the oldest resident of Chipiona, recognizing their life journey and contribution to the municipality.
Coinciding with the International Day of Older Persons, on Thursday, October 1, participants will travel to El Puerto de Santa María for the Provincial Meeting of Active Seniors at the Coto de la Isleta, a day of social gathering with seniors from other municipalities in the province of Cádiz.
The week will conclude on Wednesday, October 7, with a fan-making workshop, designed to foster creativity and manual skills while preserving traditional crafts.
The delegate for Senior Citizens' Policies, Isabel María Fernández, emphasized the importance of these events for the well-being, participation, and social cohesion of seniors, who are considered a fundamental part of Chipiona's society.
