The mayor of Chipiona, Luis Mario Aparcero, announced that the PROFEA 2026 will be approved this week. The actions of this plan are scheduled to take place in the municipality starting in 2027 and involve a total investment of 1,360,751 euros.
The project is financed by contributions from the Junta de Andalucía, the Provincial Council, and the Spanish Government, with the collaboration of the Chipiona City Council. As detailed by Aparcero, more than 495 workers are expected to participate over a period of six months.
Planned interventions include various improvements and renovations of streets and public spaces. The program encompasses work on Azucena Street, the second phase of improvements to sidewalks and roads on Cristóbal Colón Street, and actions on Algarrobo Street, Virgen de los Milagros Street, Mariano José de Larra Street, Juan Ramón Jiménez Street, Zorrilla Street, Lope de Vega Street, and Antonio Machado Street.
As part of the PROFEA's stable employment project, the rehabilitation of the former Chipiona campsite is also planned. The objective is to establish a warehouse, a multipurpose space, and a kiosk in this area.
