This year's championship, comprising four events, will continue its journey in Almuñécar, with two races, and in Huétor Vega. The organization of this inaugural day was handled by CD South Bikes, highlighting the role of the province of Granada in Andalusian BMX.
Before the start of the competitions, a minute of silence was observed in memory of a significant figure in road cycling in the province of Granada, who recently passed away while training on a bicycle.
Approximately 100 riders participated in the various 'motos' organized according to categories. At the end of the day, the winners in the Elite-Sub 23 category were Colombian Juan Camilo Arias (CD Energy Bikes) and Catalan Marta Calvis (X-Riders Club Esportiu Bike), both demonstrating excellent skill and experience.
The next round of this Cup will take place in Almuñécar on June 6.
Among the category winners were Darío Aragón and Nerea Pérez in Promesas 5 and 6 years; Matthew Robert Hidalgo and Carmen Morillas in Promesas 7 and 8 years; Ethan Hidalgo and Nicolle Cipollone in Principiante; Rolands Baranovskis and Natalia Hernández in Alevín; Aitor Rivera and Helena Mortensen in Infantil; Pedro Puertas and María Pérez in Cadete; David Mendoza and Paula Baena in Júnior; Hugo Etienne Peñalver in Máster 30; Alejandro Lozano in Máster 40; and Jesús Mata in Máster 50 and over. Also notable were Vincent Maximus Horszwald in Men 13 to 16, Yurena Aguilar in Women 13 to 16, Francisco Jesús Baena in Men 30 to 39, María Ángeles Martín in Women 40 to 49, and Juan Carlos Mochón in Men 50 and over.
