The Motril City Council, through its Culture Department, has presented the 'Enclave de Sol' jazz festival. This musical event will be held on July 28th and 29th in the Los Moriscos area of Playa Granada, with free admission for all attendees. The concerts will begin at 10:30 PM.
The Councillor for Culture, Miguel Ángel Muñoz Pino, highlighted the commitment to making culture accessible to all audiences, even during the summer, by utilizing unique municipal spaces. "We want culture to move beyond conventional venues and reach special places like our beach," he stated, adding that the festival is an opportunity to enjoy "high-quality music outdoors in a unique setting."
The program for Tuesday, July 28th, will feature a performance by ‘El Oso y sus Sabandijas’, a blues band known for its energy and personality, blending traditional blues with its own distinct style.
On Wednesday, July 29th, the ‘Potato Head Jazz Band’ will present a Hot Jazz performance. Considered one of the best bands of this style in Spain and with international recognition, their repertoire revives the essence of New Orleans traditional jazz.
Muñoz Pino encouraged residents and visitors to attend, emphasizing that the program is designed for "enjoying summer nights in an unbeatable outdoor atmosphere." He stressed the commitment to "quality, free, and open cultural proposals for everyone," viewing culture as a way to revitalize Motril's public spaces.
The municipal Culture official further noted that initiatives like this help enrich the cultural and leisure offerings of the municipality during the summer season.
