The event, organized by the Club Triatlón Nazarí, took place in the picturesque surroundings of the Parque del Mediterráneo, next to Calabajío Beach. The day was marked by an excellent atmosphere, with a notable presence of both participants and spectators who enjoyed the various competitions.
The cycling day began with the school categories, offering very dynamic and close races, especially in the 'promesa' and 'principiante' modalities, where the equality among young cyclists was maximum and position changes were constant. Subsequently, the 'alevín' and 'infantil' categories faced a more technical course, demonstrating a high competitive level.
The highlight of the day came with the adult heats, which included the rest of the categories with staggered starts. In this phase, the physical and technical level of the riders was very demanding, highlighting the absolute circuit of 4.83 kilometers, which featured significant elevation changes and technical sections in emblematic locations such as the viewpoints of La Galera and La Era.
In the men's general classification, an under-23 rider from Dr. Bike Granada CD claimed victory, setting an unstoppable pace and completing the course in 1:00:35. In the women's category, another under-23 rider from Espejo Bike Team dominated both her category and the general classification with authority, being the best of the day.
The event was attended by municipal representatives from Almuñécar. The provincial circuit will continue its calendar with a double event in Alhama de Granada on April 25 and 26, with competitions for schools on the first day and for categories from cadet upwards on the second.
