For four days, emblematic spots in the historic center of Mijas Pueblo, such as Calle Málaga, Plaza de la Libertad, Calle San Sebastián, Plaza de la Constitución, Calle Los Caños, Avenida del Compás, and the Paseo de la Muralla, will be transformed with the placement of thousands of candles. The aim is to create a unique atmosphere and highlight the town's charm.
The program, organized by Malik Culture, includes street parades, workshops, belly dance and fire shows, children's games, and an artisan and gastronomic market. The market will open on Thursday, July 2, a day that will also feature three street parades and reduced-price children's attractions at the Plaza de la Constitución.
The official inauguration of the event will take place on Friday, July 3, at 8:00 PM, followed by various shows and children's workshops that will run throughout the event. One of the highlights will be the 'wishing tree', where attendees can leave notes with their aspirations.
The event will also offer blacksmithing and wood carving workshops. To facilitate access, shuttle buses will be provided from La Cala, Las Lagunas, and the quarry of Mijas Pueblo.
