The municipality of Mijas is at the forefront of hotel occupancy on the Costa del Sol, reaching 92.13% in May and projecting 97.61% for June, according to AEHCOS data.

Mijas is consolidating its position as a prominent tourist destination on the Costa del Sol, according to the latest figures released by the Association of Hoteliers of the Costa del Sol (AEHCOS). The municipality recorded a hotel occupancy rate of 92.13% during the past month of May and is leading the forecasts for the start of the high season in June, with an estimated 97.61%.
These figures place Mijas among the destinations with the best tourism performance in the region and reinforce positive expectations for the summer season.

Jerez also acknowledged the municipality's capacity to attract international tourism, while cautioning about the importance of not neglecting the domestic market. He expressed concern over the increasing difficulties Spanish families face in enjoying their holidays due to the rising cost of living.
