The arrests occurred on different nights by agents from the Córdoba-Capital Post, after receiving citizen information about the supply of balloons with nitrous oxide on an esplanade near the fairgrounds, where around 500 people had gathered.
Agents conducted discreet surveillance in the area, which led to the identification of the alleged responsible parties. During the operation, gas cylinders and other items used for its supply were seized.
Nitrous oxide, also known as ‘laughing gas’, has legitimate medical uses, including as an adjunct for sedation in dentistry. However, its recreational use through inhalation has become widespread among young people, posing health risks.
The proceedings were carried out by agents from the Córdoba-Capital Post.
The Civil Guard has highlighted the importance of citizen collaboration in detecting these types of behaviors, especially during large-scale events and gatherings.
