The Mijas City Council has launched a pioneering line of financial aid for births, adoptions, or foster care, with an initial endowment of 100,000 euros. The initiative, presented by Mayor Ana Mata, aims to provide support to families in the municipality.
These financial grants are designed to cover initial needs and do not require expense justification. "It is a new line of aid that we are originating for the first time in our municipality with the objective of helping families," stated Ana Mata, emphasizing the commitment to fulfill these subsidies.
Beneficiaries must meet requirements such as the birth, adoption, or foster care occurring between January 1 and December 31, 2025, a minimum of five years registered in Mijas, cohabitation with the minor, and being up-to-date with tax and Social Security obligations.
The financial amount will be 300 euros per child, also applicable in cases of multiple births or adoptions/foster care of several children.
The application period will run from August 20 to September 10. Documentation can be submitted through the City Council's electronic headquarters or at the municipal registries.
