The decision, made during the April Plenary Session with the support of the governing team, will enable the execution of fundamental projects. These include the drafting and tender for the new Mijas Pueblo car park, the installation of underground containers throughout the municipality, and the renovation of La Butibamba park.
Additionally, the completion of pending sections of the Senda Litoral to Fuengirola and the duplication of the Camino de Coín, between the Víctimas del Terrorismo roundabout and Camino de Campanales, are planned. Access bridges to the Gran Parque will receive an allocation of 800,000 euros, and the project for changing the turf, warehouse, and changing rooms of the adjacent Las Lagunas football field will be funded.
This budget modification also strengthens the municipal parking plan, adding to the existing Los Santos car park and the Mijas Pueblo one (with 6.5 million euros), new initiatives in Parque Andalucía, Las Cañadas, La Candelaria, El Juncal, and the La Cala boulevard.
In La Cala, comprehensive street renovations will be carried out on streets such as Segovia, Cómpeta, Butiplaya, Júzcar, Cártama, Alemania, or Benarrabá. Furthermore, 350,000 euros will be allocated for sealing the municipal landfill and 150,000 euros for the renovation of the access to the Puerto hermitage in Mijas Pueblo.
The investment also includes 500,000 euros for the repair of public roads in scattered areas, the promotion of the Alquería collector, and the project for a new road connection between the Manzanilla sector and the A-7053 road. 2.5 million euros are allocated for the paving of public roads, and improvements to the drinking water supply networks in El Coto and Doña Pilar will be boosted.

Finally, the Plenary Session has approved a modification to the public prices for vehicle parking services in municipal car parks, allowing for direct debit of monthly payments for annual parking passes. This will facilitate the payment of the 600 euros annually in twelve installments of 60 euros, eliminating surcharges for fractional payments.
