The fire broke out shortly after 5:00 AM in an underground parking facility located on Octavio Paz street in San Luis de Sabinillas, a district of Manilva. Local Police and Civil Guard units responded to the scene and carried out the preventive evacuation of five nearby buildings. As a result of the incident, three vehicles were completely destroyed, and one was partially damaged. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Firefighters, who communicated the emergency to the 112 control center (Andalusian Emergency Agency), worked to extinguish the blaze. The firefighting efforts continued through the morning, and the fire was confirmed to be under control without any personal harm.
“"As a consequence of the fire, three vehicles have been burned (two entirely and one partially), and no injuries have been registered."
This incident occurs amidst other fire-related events in the province. Firefighters were still working on Sunday to extinguish a fire at the Ibis hotel in central Málaga, which began on May 25th. Although controlled, smoke visible on Sunday indicated that cooling and prevention efforts were still necessary.
The property management of the Málaga hotel has erected a perimeter fence around the building to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized access. This measure has led to the closure of the pedestrian area between the Aurora and Trinidad bridges.
