The initiative, aimed at expanding the supply of affordable housing in the city and assisting groups facing housing access difficulties, will be developed on two municipal plots located on Oropéndola street. The total area allocated for this development amounts to 8,244 square meters.
The project includes a minimum of 65 municipal support homes, which must comply with current ordinances and the tender's requirements. The buildings will have a maximum height of ground floor plus three stories, and each home will include two parking spaces. The design will prioritize dignity, architectural quality, functionality, and habitability.
Compliance with the highest standards in cross-ventilation and universal accessibility will be required, as well as quality in materials and finishes to ensure low future maintenance costs and durability. Energy efficiency and environmental measures, including renewable energy and waste management, will be fundamental aspects.
Interested companies have until July 7th to submit their bids. The tender sets a deadline of three months for project design and two years for construction. This tender represents another step by Fuengirola in providing accessible residential solutions.
