This recognition was presented during the official launch of the Gourmet Design Gala, “GDG All Stars 2026”, an event scheduled for Monday, April 27, at the Hotel Occidental Puerto Banús. Starting at 5:30 PM, the gala is set to showcase the most groundbreaking proposals in gourmet design, both nationally and internationally.
The GDG All Stars 2026 initiative, a collaborative effort between Grupo All Stars and the Hotel Occidental Puerto Banús, aims to analyze, evaluate, and reward artisanal gourmet products, ranging from oils and sweets to tableware and chocolates. The core criterion emphasizes originality and impact: “If it doesn't stand out, if it doesn't make an impact, it's not design.”
The executive chefs of Barceló Hotel Group, now distinguished as All Stars Recommended, will play a prominent role in the gala, presenting new culinary offerings for the upcoming season with themed presentations. Among the honored chefs are Eloy Ridao (Hotel Occidental Puerto Banús and Barceló Marbella), María Medina (Hotel Occidental Puerto Banús), Ricardo Martínez (Hotel Barceló Marbella), Xavier Gallifa (Hotel Occidental Fuengirola), José Carlos García (Hotel Occidental Torremolinos), and Alberto Lozano (Hotel Barceló Málaga).
“"The delivery of these recognitions is the best boost for the start of the countdown to the celebration of GDG All Stars 26."
These accolades highlight the hotel sector's commitment to elevating its gourmet offerings, with Barceló Hotels Group leading the way and establishing itself as a benchmark for culinary excellence. The Costa del Sol, one of the world's premier tourist destinations, greatly benefits from this dedication to quality.
The GDG All Stars 26 event positions Marbella, and specifically Puerto Banús, as a hub for gourmet design. It underscores the importance of product conceptualization, history, presentation, graphic design, and packaging as fundamental requirements for success in an increasingly saturated and undifferentiated market.
