The delegate for Equality, Development Cooperation, Consumption, and Citizen Participation of the Cordoba Provincial Council, Auxiliadora Moreno, has presented this initiative that will tour locations such as La Carlota (November 3), Villaviciosa de Córdoba (November 5), Villanueva del Rey (November 10), Zuheros (November 12), Palenciana (November 13), and Fernán Núñez (November 18).
The project will use theatrical performances, featuring actors, puppets, and humor, to help children understand the importance of volunteering and how they can perform small acts of solidarity in their daily lives. The ultimate goal is to promote the culture of volunteering and citizen participation in a fun, inclusive, and educational way.
Moreno emphasized that the proposal aims to encourage reflection through a stage performance that awakens solidarity from an early age and fosters empathy and mutual aid. It is primarily aimed at children between 8 and 12 years old.
The protagonist of the performances is a girl who dreams of being a superheroine. Her initial disappointment at not being able to fly transforms when she meets the ‘Guardian of Volunteering’ and his team, with whom she begins to help care for nature, accompany the elderly, or support other children.
This initiative is part of the Provincial Council's Active Citizenship School Program, which includes other proposals such as ‘Solidarity Footprints: sowing commitment in Cordoba’, aimed at young people aged 18 to 35.
