The city of Córdoba is getting ready to host the seventeenth edition of the White Night of Flamenco, taking place on the night of Saturday, June 20, and the early morning of June 21. This cultural event, which transforms the city's streets and squares into live flamenco stages, will feature a program of ten free performances in various emblematic locations.
This year, the event pays tribute to maestro Fosforito, a key figure in the renewal of flamenco in the 20th century, who passed away in November 2025 at the age of 93. The evening promises to be a night of great 'duende' for attendees.
Plaza de las Tendillas will be the starting point for the concerts at 10:30 PM. Other confirmed venues include Plaza de San Agustín, the Patio de los Naranjos (Mezquita-Cathedral), the area around La Calahorra, the Cine Fuenseca, Plaza del Conde de Priego, the compás of San Francisco, Plaza de la Corredera, Plaza del Potro, and the Gardens of the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos. The Córdoba City Council has allocated a budget of 480,000 euros for the event's organization.
The artistic lineup includes Manuel Lombo with 'Lombo x Bambino' (a tribute to Bambino), Bernardo Miranda and Yolanda Osuna with 'Nazareno y Olivares' (a tribute to Fosforito), María Toledo with an intimate two-piano format, María del Mar Moreno with Jerez-style flamenco dance, Sara Dénez presenting 'Origen', Lela Soto with traditional Jerez singing, José Manuel Gutiérrez 'Maki' and María Artes with flamenco fusion, Ezequiel Benítez with his Jerez style, and a closing performance by Los Estanques and El Canijo de Jerez.
The Córdoba City Council will implement a traffic and security plan to manage the influx of attendees, including access restrictions near the venues and measures to prevent public drinking ('botellón'). Temperatures are expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius at the start of the event, with lows of 17 degrees Celsius during the night.
