Pepe Álvarez becomes the new spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Provincial Council of Córdoba. He assumes leadership following the resignation of Esteban Morales, who leaves the provincial institution to serve as a deputy in the Andalusian Parliament, after his election in the recent regional elections. The deputy spokesperson role will be filled by Antonio Oliván.
The Socialist Group has expressed its recognition for Esteban Morales' work, highlighting his "commitment, dedication, and effort" during his time in the Provincial Corporation, always "in defense of the interests of Córdoba's towns and villages."
“"We hope to resolve it soon..."
Morales thanked the professionalism of the Provincial Council's staff, the political groups, and the media, ensuring the institution is "the home for all town councils" and that resources reach "every corner of the territory."
He also valued the "coexistence and democratic respect" within the Provincial Council, despite ideological differences. After eleven years as a socialist deputy, Morales takes to the Andalusian Parliament "the list of needs and challenges of the province" to address them.
The Socialist Group reaffirms its commitment to continue working for "more funding and more opportunities for municipalities," especially the smaller ones, promoting a Provincial Council that is "close, useful, and at the service of town councils and citizens."
The political action of the Socialist Group in the Provincial Council of Córdoba will focus on "the defense of municipalism, equal opportunities between territories, and the improvement of public services throughout the province."
