The Diocese of Córdoba is preparing to welcome a new group of nine priests who will dedicate their lives to God and the Church. The ordination ceremony will take place this Saturday, June 27, at 11:00 AM, in the emblematic Holy Cathedral Church.
The future priests, having completed their training at the San Pelagio and Redemptoris Mater San Juan de Ávila seminaries, are: Ángel González, Angelo Bruno, Carlos Andrés Crespo, Francisco Daniel Fernández, José Agustín González, Francisco Moreno, Jesús Romera, Blas Sánchez, and Antonio Tello. They will be ordained by the Bishop of Córdoba, Jesús Fernández.
“"Without fear of announcing that God is alive"
Ángel González, trained at the San Pelagio Conciliar Seminary, aspires to be a model for the Church, boldly proclaiming God's presence.
In a context of growth for the Church in Córdoba, Antonio Tello aims to be an approachable pastor, reflecting Christ's face and bringing hope through the Gospel.
Carlos A. Crespo dreams of a ministry of availability and dedication, while Francisco Daniel Fernández has opened his life to the divine plan during his seminary years.
Francisco Moreno believes the Church in Córdoba is experiencing a fruitful period, marked by devotion to the Eucharist. He wishes to be a man dedicated to his community, sharing their joys and sorrows.
Angelo Bruno and Blas Sánchez, trained at the Redemptoris Mater San Juan de Ávila Missionary Seminary, share a desire to be dedicated priests who foster Christian unity.
Jesús Romera, for his part, aims to build close relationships, especially with young people, and to ensure parishes are vibrant centers of life.
Notably, José A. González, a professional architect with an extensive career, felt the call to the priesthood later in life. He views his vocation as becoming a 'builder of God's kingdom,' allowing divine will to guide the 'blueprints of his life'.
