This initiative, taking place in Spain, Malta, and Portugal, combines cultural and educational activities such as guided tours, exhibitions, concerts, workshops, educational activities, and gastronomic proposals.
In the case of Priego de Córdoba, activities will focus on craftsmanship, baroque heritage, and religious heritage. Routes and workshops are planned to explore the Semana Santa of Priego through various disciplines and to learn about associated cultural and heritage elements.
The Network Days aim to highlight both the tangible and intangible heritage related to Holy Week and Easter, offering activities for residents and visitors alike, allowing them to discover the unique characteristics of each locality's celebrations and their connection to historical, artistic, and cultural heritage.
Alongside Priego, other Spanish towns such as Baena, Cabra, Carmona, Crevillente, Écija, Lucena, Orihuela, Puente Genil, Utrera, and Viveiro are participating with their own proposals. Internationally, Birgu (Malta) and Braga (Portugal) are also part of this edition.
The European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebrations was established in 2019 with the goal of promoting and contributing to the conservation of this cultural heritage, by sharing the diverse manifestations of these celebrations across different European territories.
