The incident took place around 11:10 AM on Judería street, an area heavily frequented by pedestrians and tourists, particularly due to its proximity to the Mezquita-Catedral. The horse, which was hitched to a carriage, ran over the man for reasons currently under investigation.
Following the event, emergency services from 112 Andalucía were notified. Officers from the Local Police and medical personnel from 061 promptly arrived at the scene to assist the injured individual.
The affected person was stabilized on-site and subsequently transported by an ICU ambulance to Reina Sofía Hospital for specialized medical care due to the severity of his injuries.
