The initiative, titled The whisper of water: engineering, poetry and power in Madinat al-Zahra, aims to offer a different perspective of the site. Through a narrative approach, attendees will learn how water was a fundamental element for daily life, garden maintenance, and the representation of power in the ancient caliphal city.
The tour focuses on the hydraulic infrastructure, covering everything from water collection to drainage. The activity combines historical rigor with theatrical resources, allowing visitors to understand the technical complexity and symbolism of this resource in the palatine architecture of Cordoba.
The visits will take place on Fridays and Saturdays, with two daily sessions at 8:45 PM and 10:15 PM. Each session lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes, with a capacity limited to 30 people per group.
Although the activity is free, prior registration is required. Reservations open weekly every Monday starting at 10:00 AM through the official cultural activities platform.
