The Ministry of University Affairs, Research and Innovation of the Junta de Andalucía has implemented salary improvements for a total of 2,089 university professors and researchers across the autonomous community. Of this figure, 195 belong to the University of Córdoba.
Furthermore, the regional government has approved the recognition of 2,790 tranches of regional supplements, corresponding to the 2025 call. In this call, the Junta received over 3,600 applications from this Teaching and Research Staff (PDI).
These regional supplements constitute an additional economic remuneration to the base salary of university staff. They are linked to activities carried out in areas such as teaching, research and development (R&D), knowledge transfer, innovation, and management. The remuneration is distributed in a maximum of five tranches.
During the last legislative term, the Ministry increased the amount payable for each tranche to 1,800 euros annually. Once recognized, these supplements become consolidable, meaning they become a fixed and permanent part of the faculty's salary.
