The extraordinary process for the regularization of immigrant individuals, promoted by the Government, has been widely welcomed in Córdoba. Pending the final data, it is estimated that around 10,000 people submitted applications, far exceeding the initial forecast.
The Government's sub-delegate in Córdoba, Ana López Losilla, reported that by the closing of the stipulated period (April 16 to June 30), "9,249 files were processed on Mercurio" (one of the electronic channels) and "around 600 on Lynx". This brings the total number of applicants to 9,849 through these two platforms alone.
These figures will be supplemented by those who opted for in-person processing, which were a minority, and those submitted in the final hours of the deadline. In any case, López Losilla emphasized that "the number of regularizations anticipated for the entire province has doubled".
The original projection from the Government Sub-delegation in Córdoba was for approximately 5,000 regularizations. The submission of documentation was done, "above all, online," noted the sub-delegate.
