The political group has described the current situation as unsustainable, noting that the lack of efficiency in processing files is causing many residents to lose access to social benefits, educational resources, and basic healthcare services. They argue that this administrative failure violates fundamental rights of the citizens.
The administrative conflict has drawn the attention of the Andalusian Ombudsman. In June 2025, the institution urged the Córdoba city council to comply with legal deadlines, reminding them that after three months of inactivity, positive administrative silence must be applied, and applicants should be registered ex officio.
“"It is unacceptable that citizens have to wait months for such a basic right. We demand that the government team acts immediately to solve a problem that affects the daily lives of hundreds of residents."
The motion to be debated in the Plenary seeks to clarify whether the local government has implemented the Ombudsman's recommendations. The goal is to ensure that the Córdoba City Council fulfills its legal obligations, avoids administrative paralysis, and ensures an effective response to residents' needs.
