The city of Córdoba will host the show Houdini, a musical that promises to dazzle audiences with a staging that includes the appearance of an elephant on the stage of the Gran Teatro de Córdoba. The production, which was a great success in Madrid last season, will be in the Cordoban capital from October 22 to November 1.
Tickets for this show, with prices ranging from 25 to 70 euros, are now on sale. Córdoba thus becomes the first stop on this musical's tour. The cast will be announced soon.
Houdini alternates musical numbers with over 20 large-scale illusions, notably the surprising appearance of an elephant. Inspired by the legendary escapist, the musical fuses a powerful theatrical narrative with a dazzling staging, state-of-the-art visual effects, and live music.
This project, developed over more than ten years by Federico Bellone, boasts a top-tier creative team. The score by Giovani Maria Lori is influenced by Hungarian folklore, paying homage to the escapist's roots. Sound design is by Poti Martín, and resident musical direction is by Carlos López.
The musical is based on the book El hombre imposible, which chronicles the intense life of Harry Houdini, an illusionist whose existence was marked by risk, obsession, and the constant pushing of human limits.
