The team will face the trip to Eibar next Sunday with serious difficulties in forming a competitive starting lineup. In addition to existing injuries, two new suspensions further deplete coach Iván Ania's squad.
Both Christian Carracedo and Dani Requena received their tenth yellow card of the season in the match against Albacete, resulting in a one-game suspension that will keep them out of the final away game.
Carracedo, the winger, was booked for ostentatiously protesting a referee's decision, having managed to avoid suspension for ten consecutive games while on a warning.
Meanwhile, Requena received his yellow card for a sharp tackle to stop an Albacete offensive transition. The midfielder was already on a warning after the match against Granada and could not avoid suspension for even a week.
This situation forces Iván Ania to be highly resourceful in assembling a starting eleven for the Eibar match, in a season finale where Córdoba CF has little left to play for.
