The Local Police of Córdoba has reported an arrest for domestic mistreatment during the second day of the Feria de Nuestra Señora de la Salud. This incident was the only security-related event recorded on the first Saturday of the celebration, in contrast to the five arrests that occurred the previous night.
Officers also intervened to assist a person who suffered a possible fracture of their right ankle while on the attraction known as the Viking Ship, located on Infierno street. This incident stands out among the various interventions carried out by security forces.
In addition to the arrest and the incident at the attraction, the Local Police handled other issues, including ten assists related to alcohol and drug intoxication, and nine medical assistances for general malaise. Actions were also taken on ten occasions for denial of access to fair booths, and 17 customer complaint forms were filed, totaling 26 municipal infractions.
Domestic mistreatment includes any intentional action or omission aimed at dominating, controlling, or physically, psychologically, sexually, or economically assaulting any member of the family unit, perpetrated by someone with whom there is or has been a kinship, marriage, or affective relationship.
The Córdoba Fair, one of the most crowded events of the May Festivities, continues to take place in the Arenal, with the Local Police deployed to ensure the safety of attendees.
