The municipality of Bailén, through the Community Social Services of the Provincial Council of Jaén and the ERACIS+ program, continues to develop initiatives to enhance the training and employment opportunities for unemployed individuals. Access to employment is considered a key pillar for social inclusion, highlighting the importance of coordination between administrations and entities.
Thanks to €230,000 in aid granted by the Provincial Council of Jaén, the City Council has been able to organize free training actions this year. These focus on improving professional skills and job market integration possibilities, as part of the Andalusian Regional Strategy for Social Cohesion and Inclusion.
Among recent actions is the "Video/Audiovisual Training and Editing" course, lasting 25 hours, held between September 9th and 15th. Aimed at a maximum of 15 participants at Ukey Formación facilities, it provided practical knowledge for creating and editing audiovisual content using tools like CapCut, InShot, and Movavi Video Suite.
Another training program offered was the "Application of Phytosanitary Products. Qualified Level" course, spanning 60 hours, from September 16th to October 1st. Taught at the Bailén City Council facilities with practical sessions at the Parque Móvil, this official IFAPA program allows the 15 students to obtain the Qualified Level Phytosanitary Product Professional User Card, an essential accreditation for agricultural and gardening activities.
The Councilor for Social Welfare, Equality, and Health, Alfonsa García, highlighted the municipal commitment to facilitating access to training and employment resources. "Training is a fundamental tool to improve skills, build confidence, and open new possibilities for entering the job market," she stated, encouraging participation in these initiatives.
For her part, the Deputy for Equality, Social Policies, and Youth of the Provincial Council of Jaén, Francisca Medina, emphasized how training enhances participants' security and autonomy, particularly for those in socially disadvantaged situations.
These actions are part of the ERACIS+ program, promoted by the Regional Ministry of Inclusion, Youth, Families, and Equality of the Junta de Andalucía and co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus. The program aims to foster social and labor inclusion in disadvantaged areas through coordinated support, training, and improved employment opportunities.
The Bailén City Council emphasizes the collaboration between administrations to provide free resources tailored to citizens' needs. Councilor Alfonsa García concluded that "the collaboration between the City Council, the Provincial Council, and the ERACIS+ program allows us to continue generating resources and opportunities for our residents."
