Rider Daniel Reyes Aldana, mounted on Platino, has been crowned champion of the VIII Spanish Dressage Championship. The competition took place at the iconic Royal Stables of Córdoba, where Aldana achieved a final score of 77.838%, solidifying his position as one of the current leading figures in this equestrian discipline.
The podium was completed by Amador Martín López, who took second place riding Maserati with a score of 76.396%, and Sebastián Ponce Borrás, who finished third with Eclipse (Bambino), achieving a final score of 75.811%. The final was marked by the high quality of the performances and the close competition among the main contenders, offering the audience a display of technical skill and spectacle.
The Spanish Dressage Championship continues to demonstrate its growth, with 26 pairs participating in this eighth edition, surpassing last year's numbers and reaffirming the event's prestige on the national calendar. Riders from various autonomous communities gathered in Córdoba, further establishing the city as a reference center for the equestrian world in Spain.
The public response was significant, with full stands during both days of competition, especially during the final, creating a magnificent atmosphere that reflects the growing interest in Dressage. The historic setting of the Royal Stables provided an ideal backdrop, merging heritage, equestrian culture, and sport.
The competition, part of the Cabalcor 2026 program, awarded over 6,000 euros in prizes and continues to be a major attraction of the Córdoba Horse Fair. Córdoba Ecuestre expressed a very positive assessment of the event, highlighting the participants' level, public attendance, and media coverage, which affirm Córdoba and the Royal Stables as a prime venue for national equestrian competitions.
