Data from the Ministry of Interior's Crime Report reveals a generalized rise in crime, driven by both conventional offenses and cybercrime. In total, 8,668 crimes were recorded, marking an 8.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
Conventional crime accounted for 6,554 offenses, a 7.8% rise from 2025. Within this category, crimes against life, despite being less common, showed a concerning increase.
Intentional homicides and completed murders rose by 33.3%, reaching four cases. Furthermore, attempted homicides and murders saw a 12.5% increase, with a total of nine cases recorded.
