A recent study, based on the analysis of over 613,000 homes advertised on the Idealista platform during June 2026, reveals that Córdoba has 72% of properties with cooling systems. This figure places it just behind Seville, which records 74%.
The percentage of homes with air conditioning in Córdoba significantly exceeds the national average, which stands at 47%. In the capital's rental market, the presence of air conditioning rises to 82%, while for properties for sale, it is 68%.
At the provincial level, Córdoba also stands out, ranking fourth in Spain with 64% of advertised homes featuring air conditioning. In this category, the Andalusian province follows Málaga (71%), Balearic Islands (69%), and Seville (68%).
Andalusia concentrates several cities with the highest air conditioning rates. Besides Seville and Córdoba, Jaén records 65%, Málaga 61%, and Almería 53%. In contrast, northern cities like Burgos, Oviedo, and A Coruña barely reach 1%.
The study highlights a clear territorial division in the air conditioning of Spanish homes, with the highest percentages concentrated in the south and the Mediterranean coast.
