A total of 70 aspirants have successfully passed the initial phase of a process that began with 700 candidates. These selected individuals are now preparing for the demanding physical tests, which will determine who will fill the 28 firefighter positions and 11 firefighter-driver roles, offered through a free-entry competitive examination system.
The sports tests will take place at the Fontanar municipal sports facilities and the Parque Figueroa Inclusive Aquatic Center. Candidates will be divided into two groups for the rope climbing (5 meters), pull-ups, 100-meter sprint, and 1,500-meter endurance run tests, scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22, respectively, starting at 9:00 AM.
The 100-meter swimming test will be held in a single session for all 70 participants on Thursday, April 23, starting at 12:00 PM at the Parque Figueroa Inclusive Aquatic Center. Aspirants must bring their DNI (Spanish ID) and appropriate sports attire, including a swimming cap for the aquatic test. Wetsuits or other diving equipment are not permitted.
Each physical test is eliminatory, and candidates must achieve a minimum score of 5 points in each to proceed in the process. The final score for this exercise will be the arithmetic mean of the scores obtained in all tests.
