UD Almería, considered one of the favorites for direct promotion to LaLiga, will be the opponent that concludes the summer preparation for the team coached by Iván Ania. The match is scheduled for Friday, August 7th, at the facilities of the Marbella Football Center, and will be played in the morning at 10:30 AM, similar to the encounter against Elche CF.
This duel will serve as the culmination of several weeks of work and as a prelude to the league debut at El Plantío. Córdoba CF will enter the competition with a demanding pre-season schedule, having faced superior category rivals in most of their matches. Only one of the games will be against a lower-category team, allowing the Asturian coach to assess his players in high-demand situations.
The pre-season for Córdoba CF began on July 23rd with the IV edition of the Trofeo Puertas de Córdoba against Sevilla FC, a match that also served as the team's presentation to its fans and to showcase the new signings for the 26/27 season.
Subsequently, the Cordobés expedition traveled to Sanlúcar de Barrameda to face Cádiz CF at the Estadio El Palmar on Saturday, July 25th, at 8:00 PM. After a rest day, the team concentrated in Oliva, where they played against Elche CF on Friday, July 31st, at 10:30 AM.
Upon their return, the 'blanquiverde' squad faced Real Jaén in La Victoria on Thursday, August 6th, at 8:00 PM in the XLII Trofeo del Olivo. The final test before the league start will be against Almería, just a few hours later, on Friday, August 7th, in the morning. With this demanding preparation, Iván Ania's team will get ready for their league debut against Burgos CF.
