The posters for Córdoba's Feria Taurina de Nuestra Señora de la Salud for 2026 have been released discreetly, without major announcements. Expectations revolved around a potential increase in events, the inclusion of local bullfighters who had claimed their spot, and the search for a fresh approach in the combinations, something longed for by the Cordoban bullfighting community.
The outcome has been bittersweet for many. While the cycle has grown in the number of events compared to previous years, responding to a demand from some fans, the composition of the posters has not achieved unanimity. The organizing company has structured the fair over two weekends, starting on Friday, April 15, with the traditional invitation bullfight, organized by the Círculo Taurino de Córdoba.
On Saturday, April 16, there will be a novillada picada featuring emerging figures such as Mexican Emiliano Osornio and Salamanca's Julio Norte, alongside local bullfighter Manuel Quintana, who has generated significant interest. On Sunday, April 17, the first bullfight will take place, with bulls from Juan Pedro Domecq, fought by Daniel Ruiz, David de Miranda, and Cordoban Manuel Román.
The second week will begin on Friday, April 22, with bullfighters Borja Jiménez, Víctor Hernández, and Marco Pérez, the latter making his debut as a matador in Córdoba. On Saturday, April 23, equestrian bullfighting will return with Sergio Galán, French bullfighter Lea Vicens, and Sebastián Fernández. The fair will conclude on Sunday, April 24, with a bullfight featuring José María Manzanares, Juan Ortega, and Pablo Aguado, with bulls from Domingo Hernández.
Among the cycle's strengths are the increased number of events and the inclusion of emerging bullfighters. However, the drawbacks include the absence of established local figures and the repetition of bull ranches that, according to some critics, do not always meet expectations regarding the bulls' presentation and performance. Fans hope that, despite the controversies, the fair will attract audiences to the stands.
