The Cordoban town of Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo will once again become a stage for sport, coexistence, and solidarity with the celebration of the XXVII Popular Race City of Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo “Huellas del Carbón” – XVI Memorial Juan Gabriel García Guisado. This event, already a fixture on the local sports calendar, aims to highlight the municipality's mining history.
This year's edition will have a strong solidarity focus, with part of the proceeds allocated to the 'Tu Causa, Mi Meta' Association, thus merging sport with a charitable cause.
The main 10-kilometer race will start at 10:30 AM in Plaza Santa Bárbara. Subsequently, from 12:00 PM onwards, children's categories and other modalities will take place.
Registration fees for children's categories will be €2, while for adults it will be €6. The deadline to complete registration is October 21st, with a limit of 200 participants for the main race and 300 for the lower categories. To guarantee T-shirt size, registration must be completed before October 18th.
The Ayuntamiento de Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo encourages residents, clubs, and athletics enthusiasts to participate in this day that will fill the streets with sport and coexistence, while also contributing to a solidarity initiative.
