The municipality of Bormujos has become a prominent residential alternative in the Seville metropolitan area, thanks to its strong commitment to Official Protected Housing (VPO) and affordable options, amid a significant price increase in the capital.

The continuous rise in housing prices in the Sevillian capital is pushing many families and young buyers to seek options in the metropolitan area. However, this pressure has also extended to nearby municipalities, where prices continue to climb.
A recent analysis by Foro Consultores Inmobiliarios reveals that areas such as Entrenúcleos, Palmas Altas, Mairena del Aljarafe, Bormujos, Tomares, Alcalá de Guadaíra, and Palomares del Río have experienced significant growth in their residential prices during 2024. Notably, Entrenúcleos, in Dos Hermanas, has seen its average housing price increase by over 60% in just seven years, from 149,000 to 240,000 euros.
In this scenario of generalized price increases, Bormujos stands out by offering an average housing price of 217,000 euros, a figure lower than that of neighboring towns like Tomares (257,000 euros) or Mairena del Aljarafe (248,000 euros). This difference is attributed to the municipality's urban planning policy, which prioritizes protected and affordable housing.

The Bormujos City Council emphasizes that this urban strategy, focused on unlocking residential land and streamlining procedures, has enabled the construction of developments tailored to the demand of working families and young buyers. Currently, the municipality has 167 homes under development, including projects like Aires del Aljarafe and Edificio Las Portadas, both with a high percentage of sales, and future developments such as Bormujos Village, Edificio Vortex, and the development opposite Megaocio.
The strategic location of Bormujos, along with the presence of a hospital, the university, and future infrastructure improvements, enhances its residential appeal and consolidates it as a key growth pole in the Sevillian Aljarafe.
