The ‘Study Abroad’ program, organized by the Vice-Rectorate for International Projection at the University of Almería (UAL), has concluded with a very positive assessment. Between June 29 and July 24, the university hosted 132 students of various nationalities, who received training in different fields of knowledge.
The initial group of the program included 63 participants. Of these, 45 students were from the University of Mannheim, Germany, and studied the course ‘International Business Management’ throughout July, directed by Professor Raquel Antolín. Another 18 students, ten from the ISEP exchange program in the United States and eight from various international universities, took Spanish classes at the Language Center.
In addition to this initial group, another 69 students arrived progressively throughout July, bringing the total number of international students to 132. Besides the Economics and Spanish modules, the course on microalgae, coordinated by Professor Gabriel Acién, saw high demand, reinforcing its status as a classic offering of the UAL.
The University of Almería has earned significant prestige in various fields, prompting the Vice-Rectorate for International Projection to design an attractive and high-quality ‘Study Abroad’ program, catering to both specific requests and the general offering. The high level of specialized teaching is complemented by the award of 3 and 11 ECTS credits and an immersive experience highly valued by demanding universities.
The program combines academic activities with cultural experiences, including guided tours to the Alhambra, Cabo de Gata, and Mini Hollywood. The official closing will take place this Friday, July 24, with a farewell dinner.
