The Infoca Plan has confirmed the extinction of the forest fire that broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning in the municipality of Jérez del Marquesado, in the province of Granada. The swift action of the personnel allowed the flames to be controlled in a short period.
Initially, two groups of forest firefighters, an operations technician, and two environmental agents were deployed to the area. The operation also included the support of two water-tank trucks and a light helicopter, which worked in coordination to prevent the spread of the fire.
This incident occurs just a few days after another fire registered in Pinos Puente, which was also extinguished by emergency services last Saturday.
