The work is focused on Avenida Menéndez Pelayo, in the section between Calle Pinzones and Doctor Gómez Ulla. These collector cleaning tasks will continue on September 29th and 30th on Calle Gibraltar, specifically in the stretch between Jardines and Isaac Peral, taking place between 09:30 and 15:00 hours.
Concurrently, the inspection and cleaning of the 8452 storm drain units distributed throughout the city are underway. Additionally, the sumps of the wastewater pumping stations in areas such as Avenida 20 de Abril, Avenida de España, and Camino de Estepona, among other locations, are being addressed.
The correct operation of the rainwater overflow systems will be verified to ensure that the entire drainage system functions normally and at maximum performance during the precipitation period.

Both the company and the City Council have called for citizen cooperation in the responsible use of wet wipes. The aim is to prevent additional clogging problems in the sewage networks and pumping stations, which could cause further incidents with the arrival of the first rains.
