The town of Fuente Carreteros will be integrated into the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of Córdoba in 2027. This decision was made after a working meeting held at the Palma del Río City Council, which was also attended by the mayoress of Palma del Río, the mayor of Hornachuelos, representatives from the Fuente Palmera City Council, the Territorial Delegate for Development and Mobility, and members of the Metropolitan Transport Consortium itself.
The mayor of Fuente Carreteros, Alberto Ruiz, presented two key requests for the town. The first is to ensure the bus connection with Palma del Río, thereby guaranteeing residents access to essential services such as the SEPE, the hospital, the train, and vocational training. The second request aims to regularize the current service, which has suffered from schedule reductions.
Regarding the improvement of the service, positive news has been announced: starting October 1st, the new concessionaire company, Autotransportes San Sebastián, will re-establish the departure from Fuente Carreteros to Córdoba at 10:00 AM.
Work continues to ensure that Fuente Carreteros has the public transport it needs.
