San Roque has set the dates for one of its most anticipated celebrations. The 2026 Royal Fair will begin on Tuesday, August 11, and last for six days, transforming the city into a festive hub for the summer in the Campo de Gibraltar region. The program includes music, popular activities, traditions, and emblematic events.
The countdown has begun, generating excitement for an edition that will feature performances by artists such as Los Chunguitos, El Callejón, Mesalla, and Shakira Martínez. Other highlights include the parade, the patron saint's procession, fireworks, and the traditional Aguardiente Bull.
The opening day, August 11, will commence with the Coronation Ceremony of the child and youth queens and their courts at the Plaza de las Constituciones. Following the opening speech by dancer and choreographer Vanessa Orrán, the night will conclude with a performance by Los Chunguitos.
On Wednesday, August 12, the traditional Royal Fair Parade will take place, followed by the lighting of the extraordinary fairground illumination. From then on, the Caseta Municipal will host daily performances by the orchestra Cat Forever, along with concerts by El Callejón (Thursday 13), Mesalla (Friday 14), and Shakira Martínez (Saturday 15).
The fair will coincide with the feast day of Santa María La Coronada, the patron saint of San Roque. On Saturday, August 15, a solemn mass will be held, followed by a procession through the historic town center. The following day, the popular Domingo Rociero (Rociero Sunday), will feature a Tapas Route, a chorizo feast, flamenco performances, and a large communal paella.
One of the main events will be the fireworks display at midnight on Sunday, August 16. The festivities will conclude on the morning of Monday, August 17, with the traditional release of the Aguardiente Bull, one of the fair's most characteristic and long-standing traditions.
The City Council has confirmed that fairground attractions will be offered at a subsidized price of 2 euros. Inclusive initiatives such as 'quiet days' for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and identification bracelets for minors with cognitive disabilities will also be repeated.
With a diverse program encompassing concerts, tradition, gastronomy, and activities for all ages, the 2026 San Roque Royal Fair is set to be one of the prominent festive events of the summer in the province of Cádiz.
