The political party has focused on the current state of public healthcare and the regression in social rights, attributing this situation to seven years of government by the Popular Party (PP) in Andalusia. According to a party spokesperson, the PP's management has represented a "lost opportunity" for the province of Cádiz.
Among the main citizen concerns, healthcare and housing are at the forefront, along with education and dependency. The party claims that the capacity for urgent care has been diminished by waiting lists, while access to housing has become more expensive, making it difficult for young people and families to acquire.
“"The moderate discourse of the President of the Junta de Andalucía aims to be progressive, but his policies are not."
In the healthcare sector, the PSOE proposes increasing investment and guaranteeing access to a general practitioner within 48 hours, compared to the current Andalusian average of 15 to 20 days. They also criticize the lack of infrastructure in the province of Cádiz, mentioning pending projects such as the Hospital de Cádiz and the need for new health centers.
Regarding housing, the party advocates for a strong commitment to public housing and the repeal of the Popular Party's Housing Law, arguing that this law turns a constitutional right into a business. It is noted that the price of protected housing has increased by 25% and income thresholds have been raised, displacing vulnerable groups.
In terms of infrastructure, the PSOE highlights the province's deficiencies and the need for social structuring of the territory, ensuring that public services reach every corner. The importance of projects such as the Gibralmedina dam and the improvement of road and rail connections is mentioned.
