The tournament will feature the participation of the teams from Spain, France, Italy, and Greece. The competition will take place in a league format over three intense days, held every four years in the municipality.
The event's presentation took place this morning with the presence of the city's mayor, Juan Franco; the delegate councilor for Sports, Alejandro Rodríguez; and the delegate of the Andalusian Basketball Federation in Cádiz, Adolfo Magrañal.
The mayor highlighted the sports programming for the summer and thanked the Andalusian Basketball Federation for the tournaments held in the municipality, as well as the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Cádiz and sponsors Ubago and Ruiz Galán.
For his part, the Sports councilor expressed his pride that La Línea is once again an epicenter of international basketball, recalling the recent training of the U17 players in the municipality. He noted that this tournament is one of the most important lower-category events on the annual calendar.
The delegate in Cádiz of the Andalusian Basketball Federation thanked the City Council's commitment to promoting the sport and the Diputación's sponsorship, calling the season in the province historic and this tournament its crowning achievement.
This event marks the first competitive experience for the young players, who will compete in their first Eurobasket next year. The matches will be played on Friday, July 10, Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12.
