With almost half a century of history, this competition has become a benchmark sporting event in the region, attracting runners of all ages and skill levels. The organization has already surpassed 400 registrations, although the deadline to participate remains open until Sunday, April 12.
The event stands out for its wide range of categories, designed to encourage family participation. From the youngest, starting at 3 years old, to veterans, everyone has the opportunity to join the experience. Each category features a specific route, adapted to the age and ability of the participants, ensuring both challenge and safety.
The routes vary from 200 meters for pre-junior and junior categories, starting on Don Bosco Street, to the 10 kilometers of the main race for junior, senior, and veteran categories. The latter passes through emblematic points of Algeciras such as María Cristina Park and Plaza de la Constitución, offering a demanding urban course.
The day will begin at 10:00 AM with the youth, junior, senior, and veteran categories. Registrations are made exclusively through the Gesconchip website and cost between 6 euros for the youngest and 15 euros for adults. This event not only promotes sports but also strengthens social commitment and coexistence within the Campo de Gibraltar community.
