The CCOO union has expressed its hope that the meeting will clarify the uncertainties surrounding the agreement reached with the United Kingdom on Gibraltar, especially concerning social benefits and the protection of thousands of employees who cross the border daily.
“"Better late than never."
A union spokesperson emphasized the urgency of obtaining certainties, reflecting the sentiment of a group that has been demanding information for months since the agreement text was published in late February. The organization insists on the need to understand the mechanisms that will correct economic imbalances in pensions and social protection.
The meeting with the minister is part of an informative seminar aimed at the business and social fabric of the region, also featuring the participation of the Secretary General for the European Union. This event is presented as a crucial opportunity to resolve unknowns and assess the Government's ability to offer guarantees on an issue of vital importance for the economic stability of many families in Campo de Gibraltar.
