The Tourism Department of the Montilla City Council is promoting a new edition of the Agustícos music cycle, scheduled for August 9 and 16 in the emblematic garden of the Casa de las Aguas. This event, focused on acoustic concerts, seeks to combine culture, heritage, and wine tourism in a unique setting.
Tourism Councilor Adrián Lapsley highlighted that the cycle is part of the municipal strategy to maintain stable cultural programming during the summer and consolidate Montilla as a tourist destination. "With Agustícos, we continue to expand Montilla's cultural and tourist offerings during the summer," he stated, adding that the event showcases heritage and encourages both locals and visitors to enjoy summer nights in the city.
Artistic direction, led by José Alfonso Bellido, has curated a lineup that maintains the intimate essence of the format. "It's a very intimate format that originated a few years ago and has become established because it allows music to be enjoyed in a different way, in an enchanting environment like the garden of the Casa de las Aguas," he explained.
The program will begin on Sunday, August 9, with a performance by Lara Bello, a singer from Malaga whose work fuses jazz, flamenco, and Mediterranean music. She will be accompanied by pianist Ángel Andrés Muñoz and percussionist Rajeev Jayaweera.
The cycle will continue on Sunday, August 16, with Lola Santiago, who will present a repertoire inspired by Hispano-American music. She will be accompanied by double bassist Pablo Báez, in an acoustic concert designed for closeness between performers and the audience.
The initiative features the collaboration of Bodegas Rockera Cabriñana, which will offer attendees a glass of wine before each concert, completing the experience of music, heritage, and wine culture.
Concerts will start at 9:00 PM and will have an approximate capacity of 100 people per session. Attendance is free, but prior reservation of invitations will be necessary through the Eventbrite platform, where registrations are now available.
