The cultural event, a consolidated part of the summer program, will take place at Paseo de Cervantes, Paseo de las Mercedes, and Plaza Rafael Tejada, bringing leisure and culture closer to the citizens. The mayor of Montilla, Rafael Llamas, highlighted that the activity energizes cultural life and enhances public spaces, projecting an image of a dynamic and active Montilla.
The Councilor for Culture, Soledad Raya, noted that Summer Cinema is a commitment that is now part of Montilla's summer and brings together families and friends. She recalled that, as free screenings in open spaces, exhibition regulations require films to have had their commercial release at least one year prior. Therefore, the program combines recent titles with high public acceptance.
All screenings will begin at 10:00 PM and will have free admission. The program includes titles such as 'Lilo & Stitch' on July 21 at Paseo de Cervantes, 'El Casoplón' on July 28 at Paseo de las Mercedes, and 'Imaginary Friends' on August 4 at Plaza Rafael Tejada.
It will continue on August 5 with 'The Miracle Club' at Paseo de Cervantes, followed by 'Mufasa: The Lion King' on August 11 at Paseo de las Mercedes. The final screening will be 'I Hate Summer' on August 12 at Plaza Rafael Tejada, which is the only film recommended for ages 12 and over.
