The event, included in the provincial popular race circuit, brought together runners for a six-kilometer course. Samuel Ruiz, from Trops Cuevas de Nerja, took the men's victory with a time of 21:04. He was followed by Raúl Parra (21:47) and Ismael Sánchez (22:03).
In the women's category, Anara Moreno, an athlete from Indea, was crowned winner with a time of 26:54. The second place went to Sigrid Averland (27:02), from Trotasierra, and third to Mari Cruz Piñera (29:38).
Following this event in Monturque, the provincial popular race circuit will continue next Saturday with the eleventh edition of the Arquitectura del Sol Popular Race in Bujalance, the last one scheduled for August.
