This weekend, the Jaén town of Andújar has been transformed into a showcase for classic car enthusiasts. The XXIV Historic Vehicle Meeting City of Andújar has gathered almost 30 vintage automobiles from various regions of Spain, which have been exhibited in the central Plaza de España.
The event's inauguration was attended by the mayor of Andújar, Francisco Carmona, along with other members of the Municipal Corporation. The program of activities, jointly organized by the Andújar City Council and the Historic Vehicle Association, aims to merge local heritage with tourism and a passion for antique cars.
The open-air exhibition has allowed the public to closely admire unique models, some dating back to the early 20th century. This diversity of brands, eras, and states of preservation has turned the city's heart into an authentic rolling museum, capturing the attention of both experts and the general public.
The meeting will continue throughout the weekend with tours of the city and the surrounding region. The traditional closing will include the ascent to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Cabeza, an emblematic site near Andújar, solidifying this event as a benchmark for historic motoring in the province of Jaén.
