The festival, which pays tribute to guitarist Paco de Lucena, considered the first concert guitarist in history, will unfold across four venues in the city. The program aims to present different interpretations of music and creation to a wide audience.
The opening is scheduled for September 17 at 8:30 PM in the Casa de los Mora, with a performance by Gaddafi Núñez and Juana Gaitán, who will present a singer-songwriter, poetry, and Latin American literature show. Entry is free until full capacity and the event is sponsored by the Red Andaluza de Teatros Públicos (Andalusian Network of Public Theaters).
September 18 will feature two distinct performances. At 8:00 PM, in the Baroque Courtyard of the Palacio de los Condes de Santa Ana, José Carlos Gómez will present his flamenco guitar work ‘Las Huellas de Dios’, a tribute to Paco de Lucía. Later, at 9:30 PM in Plaza de Archidona, the company Chicharrón Circo Flamenco will perform ‘Empaque’, a show blending circus, flamenco, and humor, recognized with several awards.
September 19 begins at 12:30 PM in the Noble Hall of the Palacio de los Condes de Santa Ana with the inauguration of the exhibition ‘Almas Flamencas’ by multidisciplinary artist Pepa Cano, which can be visited until October 19. At 8:00 PM, in the Baroque Courtyard, Álvaro Toscano will offer a classical guitar recital titled ‘Estampas de España’. The festival will conclude at 10:00 PM in the Municipal Auditorium of Lucena ‘Manuel Lara Cantizani’, with a concert by Daniel Lucò and his pop-rock project ‘Sin Plan B’.
The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Francisco Barbancho, highlighted the festival's consolidation and thanked the collaboration of entities such as the Provincial Tourism Board of Córdoba and the Red Andaluza de Teatros Públicos, as well as the work of artistic director Domingo Escobar, in keeping the guitar at the center of Lucena's cultural activity.
