The municipality of Baena is taking a significant step in its cultural and leisure offerings for young people with the launch of BaenaMayoFest, its inaugural music festival. This event, which aims to become a fixture in the local festive calendar, will take place on May 16 at the Caseta Municipal.

During the festival's presentation, Domingo Castro, Councillor for Festivities and Youth, highlighted that this initiative responds to the objective of “promoting new cultural and leisure proposals that connect with youth and energize the social life of the municipality”.

Castro specified that the venue doors will open at 4:00 PM, with musical performances commencing from 5:00 PM. The lineup for this first edition will be headlined by David Barrull, renowned for his career in contemporary flamenco and his victory in the television program La Voz in 2013.

Alongside Barrull, the festival will feature Óscar Martínez, a prominent DJ in the national radio scene; the Malaga-based producer Luigii López, with over two decades of experience in electronic music; and local artists Nakoke and Rojano, who will showcase the artistic talent of the region.

The Councillor for Festivities also emphasized the popular pricing policy to ensure accessible entry to the event. General admission will cost 10 euros, or 12 euros including a drink, with a reduced rate of 5 euros for residents of Baena aged 18 and over. Tickets are available at various local sales points.

Finally, Castro stressed that BaenaMayoFest aims to establish itself as a key event in the town's festive calendar, combining live music, DJ sets, and an atmosphere specifically designed for young audiences. He encouraged both residents and visitors from the region to participate in this first edition, envisioned as the beginning of a cultural project with future projection.
